I've never had a bad meal. I love the portion sizes. The food is great and customer service fantastic!!!

I am stuffed! The food was unbelievable. A busy place on a Friday night but food came out piping hot and so delicious. You gotta have the oxtails. And the curry goat is awesome. Expand your horizons and give the Reggae Hut a try!

The dishes offered here are Caribbean through and through. The secret ingredient here isn't s secret. Once tasted, it's easy to see the secret to the phenomenal food beyond skill, is love. They offer a small menu and everything will make you want to hug the chef. Superb offerings in a chill environment. Try it. Love it.

I have been coming here since it was still a tiny hole-in-the-wall with like four tables and the kitchen was an even tinier (literal) hole in an inside wall. The food is always, always excellent, and very consistent. I want to branch out from our favorites, but we aren't able to come by enough anymore and end up sticking with our cravings. You cannot go wrong ordering the jerk chicken with rice and cabbage (OMG, the cabbage), but the shrimp creole, the beef patties, the jerk chicken salad, or the brown stew chicken ("the brown") are also great. I hear the oxtails are amazing. :)

Brown stew chicken is superb and jerk chicken is delightfully spicy! Vegetables and rice are excellent.

I started eating here in the early 2000s when I lived in Houston. I brought my mom last year to try it and she loved it! She asks if we can eat at Reggae Hut when we're back in town!

The amount of food was decent for the price. The jerk chicken was ok but more spicy than flavorful. The RUM PUNCH only tastes good but it should just be called Punch being that you will not even get tipsy from one. I paid $24 for two & it was a waste of $24 spent. The beef patty was decent.

In my quest to #BuyBlack, I must say I was disappointed. I spent $21 for THREE oxtails. That is unacceptable. The food was good but if that's how they do things, I won't be going back. Smh

Wow. Great atmosphere, friendly knowledgeable employees, off street parking in the back, and... Oh yeah... The food? The jerk chicken meal includes large portions of tender juicy chicken perfectly spiced, delicious vegetable medley and gently flavored rice and beans as sides, and I added a side of mouth watering fried sweet plantains that dip so well into the interesting selections of hot sauce available. Do your taste buds a favor..eat at Reggae Hut right now-to do otherwise would make you a jerk!

Reggae Hut NEVER disappoints!!! My favorite is the jerk chicken, but my mom tried the stew chicken and she was VERY pleased 😊 The oxtail is also a great menu item and of course you can't leave without trying the plantains and a patty! I definitely recommend this place, the food is ample and very comforting. Thanks for being a staple in the community... Until next time ❤

All around Great experience, from the perfect customer service to the Best Curry Goat I've had in awhile..Those Ginormous Shrimp that look perfectly seasoned, yes those are to die for.. That sauce is delicious, of course you cant have this dish without these plantains.. As 1st timers they brought us a sampler and everything in those mini cups was just perfectly prepared with tons of Love.. This place feels so automatically accurate.. This is a Must Try, these photos will not do this place any justice.. Stop Scrolling and get down here now... Try that lemonade while your there...

It was my first time and I enjoyed it. I had brown stewed chicken. I totally fell in love with the rice and peas and vegetables. The chicken was well seasoned and tender. Great customer service.

Ordered the jerk wings. I like mine really spicy. I asked if theirs were really spicy. I was told yes, but they weren't. & for the price I didnt get much

Has a dope Jamaican feel to it as soon as you walk in. Love seeing decor commemorating Marcus Garvey on the wall. I got the Veggie Patties since I'm Vegan and they were real good!! Plantains were good too, check them out when in Houston!!!

If I place an order online it means I probably want to get my food quickly and not wait an additional 15-20 min after the proposed time for pick up. Then have the cashier wait until I'm about to ask for a refund to hand me my order.. Had I not paid already I wouldn't have waited.

The jerk chicken is super spicy but great flavor. The plantains are chewy and delicious. Nice people, good service and the food really was great!

Oxtail on point, plantain puts you in that feel good mood. But next time make more sorrel!!!!

Visited this restaurant while in town and I must say it was delicious. The plate portions were a good size and the staff was friendly. I’d recommend for Caribbean food

While the ambience adds to the authenticity of the place, a little clean up would do this place wonders. The food is delicious, and they’ll let you sample the mains if you can’t decide on what to order. Personally my faves are the fall-off-the-bone incredibly tender oxtail, delicious beef patties, and plantains.

As always the food is authentic and mouthwatering delicious. Hands down the best Caribbean restaurant in the States. On top of that, the customer service is always warm and welcoming. My hubby always gets the curry shrimp... I usually get the jerk chicken but today I got the oxtails... YUMMMMMMM... and you MUST wash it down with their ginger beer.

I eat here a lot since I work right next to it. I must say the customer service is always great and they keep the place clean constantly. Rates are reasonable and they serve generous portions.

I give this establishment 3 stars. The food was seasoned well and not salty and the portions was plentiful. The gentleman playing the Caribbean music was a good touch and I felt as though I was on some island in the Caribbean. I give this three stars only because I ordered the oxtails and they were so fatty. I hardly got any meat off of the bones. It came with red beans and rice, but hardly any beans at all. Mostly all white rice. The vegetables were very good. I would visit again, but will order something else and ask if I can sub the “beans” and rice with extra vegetables. The customer service was on par!

Though there was quick and efficient service from the cashier, the food left me less than satisfied. I came in hungry but was sorely disappointed. The food was lukewarm and not at all tasty. I don’t know if this is a “Caribbean” restaurant vs. a “Jamaican” restaurant but the recipes aren’t what I’m used to. Ordered one stew chicken, one oxtail, one curry chicken and two patties; all were disappointing. The best thing in the plate was the plantain. It was my first visit to Houston and I chose this restaurant based on the great google reviews. I’m glad to see that they are a proven choice for many but this wasn’t it for me. The atmosphere is nice and the location is convenient from the airport and my hotel.

It’s been awhile since I came here and the food is still delicious after all these years. The staff is friendly and patient with our group. They gave us samples to help us decide what to order. The oxtail, plantains, and patties are yummy!
